This opening sequence begins with a close up of leonardo Dicaprio sleeping, he wakes up because a women is talking and screaming a lot, saying things that we can’t really understand.

We can understand by the room where he is that the house is really old and damaged, giving us the ideia that he is poor.

 He is laying on the bed looking at her and starts writing in a book when his mother walks into the room. Here is used a 2 shot and after a long shot of his mother, where she says “dont look at her and dont listen to her” allowing us to understand that the women is crazy and is probably drugged.

 They do a long shot of the women behind some grids talking and pointing at him, like she is arrested and is trying to ask for help.

In this scene we only have the diegetic sound of the women and them talking, there's no non-diegetic sound.
